DEPOT is a multi-media magazine published digitally and in print every Fall and Spring.

For each issue we invite people of all disciplinary backgrounds to submit text or visual content in response to a given theme. We welcome both long and short form work, excerpts, fragments, and speculative or in-process work in all formats and genres. Submissions may include: hybrid, conceptual, and experimental texts, essays, criticism, fiction, non-fiction, outlines, descriptions, documents, definitions, transcripts, performance scripts, screenplays, emails, text messages, dialogues, manuals, instructions, found and/or appropriated images and text, stills, screen-shots, drawings, photos, PowerPoint presentations, infographics, diagrams, collage, maps, gifs, audio files, video, etc.

We are particularly interested in work that is rigorous and critical (in its own right), yet perhaps incompatible or incongruous with conventional formats and genres (e.g., black sheep, baggy monsters, square pegs).

Guided by the principles of diagonal science and dialectical montage, selected works are then assembled and arranged to produce new and unexpected lines of dialogue, insight, and inquiry. Each issue therefore constitutes a compilation or sourcebook of distinct, individual contributions, as well as a collaborative assemblage that extends beyond the sum of its parts.

In addition to printed paperbacks, every issue will also be published as an interactive PDF, e-book, or website (depending on the specificity of the contents received).
